Ayurvedic Diet and Lifestyle Changes to Cure Frozen Shoulder

Dr.Ajay Krishna P B.A.M.S

Frozen shoulder, also referred to as adhesive capsulitis, is a condition characterized by the gradual stiffening of the shoulder joint, leading to restricted mobility and pain. This condition can develop due to various factors such as accidents, overuse of the shoulder, or underlying medical conditions like diabetes or stroke.

In this condition, the Shoulder capsule gets thick, which results in the formation of scar tissue. This scar tissue restricts the shoulder’s range of motion, making simple tasks like lifting an object very painful. This condition typically follows a pattern of onset and gradual improvement over about a year.

Importantly, frozen shoulder is not limited to a specific age group, although it tends to affect younger individuals more frequently. Pain and limited mobility associated with frozen shoulder can affect one’s daily life and activities.

The duration of  frozen shoulder can vary from person to person. In some cases, it is temporary and resolves within a few months, while in others, it may persist for a longer period. Regardless of the duration, it is crucial to seek medical attention and appropriate treatment to alleviate pain and improve shoulder mobility.
